2024-03-09 NGC 2023 Horsehead Nebula
First attempt at NGC 2023, taken from the middle of Oslo city.
The bright star in the center is Alnitak, the easternmost star in Orion's belt. Just left of the star is NGC 2024 Flame Nebula, the most prominent part of the image. You can barely make out the Horsehead Nebula to the center right, a dark silhouette against the red backdrop.
Considering the conditions my expectations were low, but I think this came out better than expected. There are several obvious issues with the image, but I think it works as a baseline for future attempts.
