2024-02-02 M42 Orion Nebula
After a January with incredibly bad weather we got a few hours of clear skies here on February 2nd. With no time to plan anything I dragged my little tracker and camera to the roof of the office I work at on Lysaker, light pollution be damed.
I forgot to let the lens cool down before focusing, hence the halo on the stars, but oh well. This was a nice exercise in post-processing heavy light pollution. I think Siril helps a lot with this considering I had all kinds of artificial lighting shining into the lens in addition to the general city glow. I'll have to try more mid-city astrophotography in the future, it's a fun challenge!
