2023-10-19 IC 1396 Elephant's Trunk Nebula
I've been thinking about capturing IC 1396 since my wide-angle from 2022-09-02, and today's moonless night gave a good opportunity.
I think the result came out fine and is a good baseline for future attempts, but considering the nebulosity has a magnitude of 3.5 I was expected a slightly stronger result. The actual Elephant's Trunk formation is not visible at all in my result here, but that's fine, just gives me a goal.
