2023-02-18 IC 1318 Gamma Cygni Nebula
Pretty awful light pollution, being in the middle of the city and all, but I couldn't let this evening with perfect weather and no moon go to waste. Fortunately, Gamma Cygni is quite bright.
It never ceases to amaze me how much detail can be extracted from the night sky with a little exposure and stretching. Even under poor lighting conditions with the cheapest of gear, there are an endless sea of targets waiting to be captured.
I am aware of how much more detail can be found here. My image barely sticks the toe in the water. Some of the most beautiful nebulae images found around forums are from Cygnus, and I look forward to exploring the region more.
